  • It has dark green leaves with a distinctive white hairy underside , creamy white flowers in the spring and attractive red berries in the autumn
  • It tolerates both coastal areas and urban pollution
  • Its berries provide important food for birds and the flowers many insects
  • Mature height 12 metres
  • A good choice for woodland, parkland, urban settings and rewilded landscapes
