  • Grows throughout Britain tolerating a wide range of soils except peat
  • It is an important wildlife tree with fragrant flowers for insects and autumn berries for birds and small mammals
  • Mature height 7 metres
  • A good choice for hedgerow or as a shelter bed tree and will develop to a medium sized tree if left uncut and as a farm field specimen
